018Becca Lee, Site Director, is a loud-mouth feminist, Vagina Warrior and self-identified Slut for Justice. She holds an M.A. in English and Women’s Studies from Iowa State, and pays the bills by peddling progressive values in college classrooms. She helped to launch Hollaback! DSM in August 2011, and as current Site Director, she manages most of the day-to-day web and social media content. Though she usually deals in words, her signature HOLLA looks something like this.

Alysa Mozak, Events Coordinator, has spent seven years in her professional career as a victim advocate and rape prevention educator and has done extensive work developing and facilitating curricula and programming for young women [and men] on gender and anti-violence issues. Her passion lies in teaching but she also enjoys the art of activism and goes by the motto of “The Personal is Political” in everything she does to better victim services. Although those who know her well say she never stops being an advocate for women’s issues, she does enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, singing along to women’s indie rock bands, shoe shopping and biking.

KellyMarie Ziemann, Communications Associate, identifies as a sexual assault prevention activist, a dancer,  a lesbian, a  feminist, and an animal-lover. She is obsessed with cupcakes, healthy sexuality, lip gloss, oxford commas, and social justice, and she believes in dismantling stereotypes based on gender, race, class, size, ability, orientation, sexual behavior, language, or any other characteristic. She is tired of discussing what is bad and wrong with our communities, and is interested in working to articulate our shared vision of the world we DO want to live in. If you’re looking for KellyMarie, you’ll most likely find her sandwiched on the couch between her Great Dane and two Boston terriers, watching Food Network or HGTV.

Tessa Hopson, Badass Intern, is an outspoken, pansexual punk! She is finishing her PharmD with a women’s studies concentration at Drake. She has always been interested in gender lines and blurring them wherever possible. After dealing with assault in multiple forms, she is ready to fight against it all. As a student, she helped with the Rainbow Union and Anime club. She currently is a volunteer at Furry Friends Refuge. She works to make the world a better and safe place for both her two and four-legged peers.
